Kelley She looked in the mirror and saw the blood on her face. The deep gaps her cheating husband had carved in her skin would be a constant reminder of this night and the bastard that she still feared and now hunted thru their once peaceful house. Her husband was stupid to think he could casually change the dinner conversation to "I am leaving you" and think the knife in her hand chopping vegetables wouldn't be used on him. As the blood boiled in her veins she had lashed out without thinking. Her eyes bulged out seeing the slice she had made on his arm and a smile came to her lips as the red spilled out on his shirt and began to drip on the floor. He had then picked up his own knife and the once kitchen aids now became tools of destruction. She knew this had been a passionate relationship and wasn't rage just another form of passion? She wasn't sure how much time had passed as she stood there taking deep breaths and trying not to focus on the pain she felt in numerous locations on her body. She hadn't had time to analyze the damage yet, she would do that when it was over. The house looked like a war zone from the assaults on both sides that had followed her initial slice into her hubby's arm and she now stalked cautiously around the house, peering around corners, listening with the ears of a terrier. She had told him she would never let him go, she had told him right from the beginning, and for him to think she didn't mean it enough to admit he cheated on her and that the ***** was going to take him away! He was a fool! A rustling noise in the next room caught her attention. Perked ears, eyes, mind and body moved forward towards the sound. As she peered around the corner a surprise thump on her neck warned her of the pain to follow. Yep, only seconds away from the warning thud, the pain started to rise and swell as her blood squirted out of her neck. She smiled and lashed out at the tormentor she fought. Her knife fell short as her strength did, her blood came from an artery this time. She felt strangely exhilarated and she licked the blood from her lips and tasted its sickly sweet flavor. Her body, a mass of cuts and red from the blood. She fell against the door frame and she slid to the floor. The two sets of eyes met once more, the eyes of this husband and wife. Both sets of eyes were glazed with pupils dilated. Oddly enough, she noticed, they were both smiling. The last thought to cross her mind before she slumped lifeless on the floor was how the passion had lasted thru the entire relationship and she kept her man until the end, one way or the other.........
