About me.

The reason for joining this Wiki is quite simple. I love Dexter and I think Michael C. Hall is a terrific actor. Became a fan of his way back when I started watching Six Feet Under. I must confess I own the two Dexter novels and will probably buy the third one, but I will not read the two I ownyet. I am totally caught up in the series and I do not want to spoil anything by reading the books. Most likely after season 2 ends I will start with "Darkly Dreaming Dexter" and see how it goes. After all, I need something to hold me over until season 3 (the wait between seasons 1 and 2 was too hard, lol).

I am pretty much a film buff due to exposure. I have seen way too many films (actually I don't believe in such a thing). I'm also an avid watcher of cable series. I'm not a fan of network television for the most part. I just think that cable series are so much better produced, written and "rawer" than anything on network television aside from Heroes and perhaps Lost. My favorite shows that I still watch (even the ones that are now syndicated) are:

The Wire
Dexter (tied as my two absolute faves)
Flight of the Concords
Oz
Sopranos
Queer As Folk
The L-Word
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Meadowlands
Carnivale
Huff
Deadwood
Weeds
Entourage
Big Love
Penn & Teller: Bullshit!
Real Time with Bill Maher
Rome
Brotherhood
Californication
John From Cincinnati

Looks/sounds like I must sit in front of the TV all day long but that's far from true. Thank heavens for TiVO! Most of my TV watching occurs in the Winter due to the fact that the Winters where I live (Nebraska) tend to be brutal. Since I cannot mountain bike or play other sports I limit my Winter exercise to my daily gym regimen. This leaves a lot of time to catch up with my favorite shows, especially Dexter.

Well that's about it for now... ;-)
