Okay folks, time to come up with something lite and diversionary.....how about cocktails or beverages with a Dexter theme?
Obvious ones like Bloody Mary (Caesar) etc. are OUT! Be creative in contents and name, please. The Oakie-Doakie: White wine (aged in oak) with a splash of Creme de Cacao. (see Chocolate Thunder) The Miami Vise: Double shot of white rum and Triple sec with orange juice. (The next day, feels like your head is in a vise...lol) Chocolate Thunder: Chocolate milk laced with Tia Maria and Cherry Brandy. (Doakes' favorite lunchtime treat as the Oakie Doakie was for happy hour.)

Ok, here is the Key Lime Pie recipe
1 14 oz can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk 4 eggs, separated 1/2 cup of Key Lime juice 1 9" graham cracker crust 1 cup sugar 1 Coconut 1 Captain Morgan Rum bottle Get everything together...get your Captain Morgan's rum...pour it in the coconut and shake it all about. Sip slowly...or Gulp...depends on how you feel today. Separate the eggs, put the egg whites in a clean glass bowl. Set aside for the meringue. (let them come to room temp. for a large fluffy meringue) Pour more Rum in de Coconut....drink it all gone....feel better yet..? Put egg yolks in a bowl, beat til thickened... add condensed milk, mix again....add key Lime Juice, mix all til smooth. Drink de Rum. Pour into graham crust....this will be yellow, not green, as key lime juice is yellow. don't let that freak you out.! Slide into pre-heated 350* oven for 10 minutes. Whew..!! Need more Rum in de Coconut...Where de coconut go..?? (After the 10 minutes, at 350*....turn the oven down to 325* for the meringue to bake.) Dang...lost de coconut...where the hell is it..???? While this is baking, make the meringue... Pour Rum in hand and lick... Beat egg whites on med-high til they form soft peaks, add sugar a little at at time, keep beating till all the sugar is dissolved. Don't overbeat them or they will be tough, just til the sugar dissolves. Shake it all about.... Spread meringue onto the HOT pie filling, spread all to the edges of the crust, so it will not shrink on you. don't want shrinkage....put it back in the oven at 325* for 20 minutes, or til golden brown. Who needs de coconut...dwrink straight from de bobble now... Let the pie cool down, finish the bobble of runnm and your ready to go. Watch out for the sodium Pentathol

Hello all!
I'm a huge fan of the show (can't wait for season 3 DVD to be released!). I study mass communications at a university and I'm doing a project on Dexter in relation to crimes and morality. I would greatly appreciate it if you could take 3 minutes to take this short online survey (it only has 16 questions). Your results will be confidential and anonymous and only used as data for my research paper. Here is the link to the survey: http://spello.sscnet.ucla.edu/phpESP/public/survey.php?name=comm128_2_copy Thank you so much in advance! I really appreciate it!

What recipes are being served on the show? What good recipes would you like to see on the show?
Herer is one of mine. Saute' a bed of fresh spinach in a table spoon of olive oil and pinch of garlic. Saute' rock lobster party split in garlic butter and two table spoons of water and fresh rosemary and thyme. Place rock lobster in center of plate and circle with hot spinach. Serve with sour dough or bread stix. (Coffee with two almond roca on side for dessert,) "Collaboration" a California red table wine, and, sparkling water as beverages. Appetizer of light crab meat/creme cheese spread on ultra thin crackers or matzo optional.

We have recently had a real-life Dexter wannabe in our neighborhood. His name is Mark Twitchell and his vanity plate says DRK JEDI - a reference to the Dark Passenger maybe?
He even has an IMDB enrty: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2671533/ Allegedly, he lured a man into his garage and killed him but the body was never found (is he just "good" or did the kill even happen?). There was forensic evidence of some kind (cops are not disclosing too many details), enoigh to get him arrested but, so far, sketchy press details. See here: http://www.nationalpost.com/related/links/story.html?id=930119 and here: http://www.torontosun.com/news/canada/2008/11/03/7288861.html The cops are still looking for Twitchell's car: http://www.edmontonsun.com/News/Edmonton/2008/11/13/7403001.html

A few years back....husband and I visited a haunted house (not a real house but just a tourist attraction on the boulevard).....they told our group that we need to follow the rules or suffer the consequences.....anyway at the end when we all exited, this guy came out with a chain saw running it full blast.......I thought this is very absurd....then DH explained that is for people who start acting up and that their threats are for real.....could not believe they take it that far.
