Here in the U.K. only series 1 has been shown on satellite tv. could other users please put the phrase SPOILER ALERT SERIEs x INFO as their first line so as not to spoil series 2 or series 3 events. I want to be surprised.
This courtesy would be much appreciatted and I am thanking you all in advance - incidently those who fail to do so will receive a visit from Dexter! Love and gore to y`all

Not much to say. Title says it all. IGN has all the details here:
http://tv.ign.com/articles/879/879989p1.html?RSSwhen2008-06-06_173000&RSSid=879989 Obviously I'm thrilled to see any news in season three (is it the time of the year for "Dexter Watch" again?) but am a little concerned. Is this gonna be a trend for the series? Sign up a new guest star every year for ten episodes (like Lila and Lundy), have them antagonize Dexter, and then have them leave? I don't want the show to be formulaic. Nothing in the article specifically says he's gonna be the "bad guy", but its pretty obvious when he's playing an "ambitious assistant district attorney from a powerful Miami Family". I'm thinking mob connections. Corruption? Deb brings it down and becomes Sargent? Merely speculation. I check IGN religiously so I'll post any more Dexter news.

The first season of "Dexter," which is what CBS will air, will be edited to conform to broadcast-network standards, CBS' press release said Monday. When the idea of importing cable fare was still in the discussion stage in December, a CBS spokesman said that alternate, "cleaner" versions of some scenes are filmed during the production of various Showtime programs, so that the shows can have an afterlife beyond premium cable....it sounds like there might some "new" scenes

What do y'all think of this?
In some ways I think: Yes, give people a larger chance to see the show. But... Think of our beloved characters on "regular" TV? I don't think the show will manage in such a setting. I just think it will ruin the entire concept.
