QUESTION FOR: the producers and writers and Michael C Hall MY QUESTION: I'm one of (at least) two Dexter fans who work with autistic people (my son has Asperger's Syndrome). We "use" Dexter as a teaching tool -- no, we don't want to raise serial killers -- but expecialy in the first season, Dexter's internal monologues like "That must be what love looks like" and his comments about how to act normal are incredibly helpful. Do you see a connection between the way Dexter and high-functioning autistic people process emotions? Have you even thought about how similar the character of Dexter is to people with high-functioning autism? | | Submitted by: Catamont

QUESTION FOR: the producers MY QUESTION: Although I don't believe the book-plot of Dexter "raising Astor and Cody" to follow in his footsteps would ever work on TV, what is the possibility of Dexter "training" someone else to follow Harry's Code? Specifically, if Dexter were to encounter someone who kills but, like Dexter doesn't "deserve to die"? Again, coming back to autism, what might happen if Dexter encountered an autistic person who is a killer? Could Dexter simply kill that person or try and show that person how they could survive with Harry's Code? | | Submitted by:Catamont

QUESTION FOR:Mr. Hall MY QUESTION: Dexter is the first role I've seen you in. I understand you are a trained actor. You have been on stage in Hamlet and on TV as a very flamboyant man. In the Dexter world, your character is also a highly trained actor, trained by his father essentially. Was there any synergy to be found from this observation that eased the process of portrayal? Does it stem from "acting as Dexter the actor"?
In season 1, when you are depicted killing the nurse - one second you are a little kid talking to harry being instructed to go do your thing, and once you've got the victim on the table, you are acting just like the Dexter standing over his victims, same vocal delivery and all: Do you consider this "a blooper" ? Like is it the result of editing? Or do you feel that the "attitude" displayed at this first kill had fully developed in his mind just snapped into place.?
Thanks for you time if you answer this.
PS: you will be batman!

QUESTION FOR: Michael C Hall MY QUESTION: I've seen plenty of questions about Dexter, now it's time to ask about you. Do you have any connections to Scandinavia or Sweden? Are you ever going to visit, even Europe, because you have a huge fan base here? I asked someone responsible for conventions here but never got a reply. Last but not least, I have watched thousands of films and shows on tv but never got hooked like this, ever. All the cast is wonderful and superb but still, you stand out like nothing I've ever seen. You are truly one of the best actors of our generation (me and my wife are 35 and 37). I can't stop giving people that speech, Dexter is the best show ever!
