  • Spends the day on the beach with Rita, the kids, Angel & his daughter. Dexter can't run and play with the kids because of the GSW on his leg - tells Rita he just found out his father killed himself.

Interactions with others:

  • Dexter begins to kill Doakes, drugs him, but he mentions Harry so Dex lets him live for now.

  • Doakes "You're not going to do what I think you are?!" Dexter to Doakes " There's no point in hiding it now, Sgt. Your fate is going to rest in the hands of the criminal justice system you've put your faith in. I wish you the best of luck with that."

EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS
Best Moments:

  • Dexter and Doakes debating whose killings are more justified. Dexter says his code is a much higher standard than Doakes could ever imagine.

  • Lundy to Deb "Do you want to know what I thought would happen when the case was over? I thought the novelty of my AARP discount would wear off and you'd get tired of me."

Best Lines:

    • Deb, about Doakes- "It hard to believe how easy it is to hide who you really are." Dex - "Not that easy."

    • Harry, you never prepared me for this. What do I do? What would you do?
    • It was me. The idea of a code was one thing - a Grand Code, a noble gesture. But Harry walked in on what he had created.
    • Don't worry Sgtt. I won't make you watch - I'm not uncivilized.
    • I live by my father's law.

    • "I killed my father."
