Lila Tournay aka Lila WestVictim Name: Lila West a.k.a. Lila Tournay

Age/
Occupation: Artist

Where/how Dexter stalks victim:Dexter tries to trick Lila into thinking that he is still in love with her. He tells her to pack so they can skip town together. This plan backfires, and Lila kidnaps Astor and Cody to lure Dexter to her apartment. Once he is there, she proceeds to set the apartment on fire while locking the door to prevent Dexter and the kids from exiting. Lila flees to Paris. After surviving Lila's attempt on his life, it is unclear how exactly Dexter finds her whereabouts. He sneaks up on her while she is reading her mail.

Why victim deserves it:Killing James Doakes; attempting to kill Dexter, Astor, and Cody.(note: Dexter does not consider Lila's confessed kill of her former boyfriend because Dexter asks Lila if her former boyfriend deserved it and according to what Lila said he did. According to Dexter then Lila did no wrong, initially.)

Dexter's kill methods and rituals:Dexter does not use his traditional rituals, as he does not want this killing linked to anything with the "Bay Harbor Butcher", and also he's in Paris which obviously means he doesn't have the disposal resources he does back home. He does, however, show his victim a picture of the person whose life was taken, in this case Doakes' image was taped to a postcard, as a reminder why Dexter intends to take the victim's life.

Victim's last words:"Don't do this"

Dexter's last words to victim: "You taught me to accept what I am and to trust in the one thing I know with absolute clarity. Thank you."

Location of killing:Lila's apartment in Paris, France

Close calls/slip-ups:Dexter tried to kill Lila in Miami, but Deb interfered by showing up. Lila figures out that Dexter intends to kill her after seeing that he had brought his killing tools to her apartment.

ZizzyB23 I was just a tiny bit disappointed by the finale (SPOILERS obviously). (page: 1 2) 29 Aug 2 2009, 4:40 PM EDT by RicemanDan

Just a tiny bit! Don't get me wrong, I liked the finale! But I did have a few minor grievances.

Firstly, I feel they really just dropped the ball with Angel and Lundy. Their characters basically just disappeared the episode. I know Lundy went to Oregon, but Deb (and more importantly the viewer) never got a chance to say goodbye. It just seemed to quick. And with Angel, I really don't know how he could have fit more than what he already did in this last episode, but I would've liked to see some extra scene somewhere.

My biggest problem was with the scene where Dexter killed Lila. It just wasn't satisfying. I hated Lila SO MUCH this season, and in this episode I finally got what I wanted... but I just didn't feel it. I was hoping for one last heart-to-heart between the two before he dispatched of her, but he just said like, two things and killed her. It didn't even seem personal for Dexter. Now granted, he was in Paris and couldn't have done exactly what he does when he kills at home, but I wanted to see Lila suffer before she died, and she really didn't. Her death scene must have last a minute tops. Now LAST seasons final death scene was satisfying. I need some banter before Dexter kills, you know?

I don't know if maybe I just watched it wrong, or what, but I couldn't help but feel a wee bit let down. If I can think of a more eloquent way to put it, I will, but surely someone out there on this wiki agrees with me right?

ps- I was also very let down that Dexter didn't take a slide of Lila's blood. It could have been number one in his new slide collection! Now when season three starts, the things gonna be half full already and we won't have any clue where they came from. (It makes me feel like a nerd to complain about that, but there it is).

Okay.
What happens, is dexter is having a hard time accepting the way harry made him, and talks to doakes about comming out. Therefore, starts to act as if he's given up, and feels calm. He asks deb to his house for steak and beer, and decides to tell her he's the BHB. But after a talk with her, he realizes that it's better just to accept the way he is, regaurdless if he's living code-less.
During dinner, Deb gets a call saying they're closing in on the cabin and has to go. Dexter just "cleans up" the dishes.
After Debrah leaves, dexter quickly speeds to the cabin, dodging traffic.
Meanwhile, Lila, who has stolen his GPS, tracks down the cabin and finds that Dokes is there and he tells her that Dexter's the BHB.
She gets upset that Dexter never told her this and quickly realizes how much she relates to dexter and drops the key to the cage and heads over to the stove, where she turns it on and also turns the gas on, and Blows the cabin to pieces, while doakes is inside.
The morning after, the whole team pre-discovers the body and have pretty good ideas what this cabin was for - Dokes's Killing Cabin, which leaves dexter Free!!
As he goes through internal conflicts with himself, he forgets about lila interfereing, and decides to call her and meet her at an aquarium, and they decide to run off together, leaving dexter to do what he pleases.
Dexter arrives at her apartment the next afternoon and as they get ready to go, Deb shows up and tells Lila "West" to leave, on an expired Visa.
So, dexter and deb leave, and dexter immediatly calls lila, who is under a bridge finding out dexters real plans after they left.
After lila finds out, she goes after Ritas children, drugging the babysitter with Dexters "Kill Serum" and takes the kids.
Dex shows up after a while calls deb, and tells her about the situation.
Dexter goes to Lila's house, who finds.....

In this episode, Lundy still doubts Doakes is the killer, but seems almost convinced about the possibility that it is him. Dexter has his hands full with Lila and Debra makes a choice about her future, but ends up being forced to make a different choice to save someone.
2 people die in this episode and it's not Lundy or Deb.
