| SIGNIFICANCE OF EPISODE TITLE |
| In the beginning of the episode, Dexter is floating in the water while some young people splash around. He refers to himself as a "sea monster". When we are first introduced to Matt Chambers, Dexter's case of the week, Dexter proclaims the tears he is crying in court are inauthentic, or "crocodile tears". At the end of the episode, Dexter lays in his tub, staring at the doll head he has, and his eyes are the only body parts that raise above the water, much like a crocodile's eyes would in the wild. |

I noticed when one of the cops finds out that Deb is the one who found the Ice Truck he comments that Deb and Dex being Harry Morgan's kids and good cops that "it must be in the genes". So it seems like it's not common knowledge on the force that Dex was adopted.
