Victim Name: Fred Bowman aka "Freebo"
Age/Occupation: Drug dealer
Where/how Dexter stalks victim: At Teagan Campbell's old house. Dexter finds him accidentally, and sneaks up on him and strangles him with a belt.
Why victim deserves it: Killed two college-aged girls but got off due to a bad warrant. Dexter also suspects he killed Teagan (though there is no concrete proof). Also, he would rat Dexter out as Oscar Prado's real killer if the police found him first.
Dexter's kill methods and rituals: Set him vertically up on a picnic table in plastic wrap. Dexter cut the cheek, collected the signature blood sample, and stabbed him in the neck with the same knife Oscar Prado had tried to kill Freebo with.
Victim's last words: "No, no. Sunday I was getting high with Sherry, or Kerry. I... she-"
Location of killing: The detached garage at Teagan's house
Close calls/slip-ups: Miguel Prado catches Dexter off-guard right after Dexter kills Freebo. Dexter intercepts Prado outside before he could see the kill room and convinces Prado that he only killed Freebo in self-defense. Prado seems very grateful to Dexter since he was there to kill Freebo himself and wasn't sure if he could go through with it. This seems to be a big bonding moment for them (at least Miguel wants to believe it is).

| | | - Dexter wonders what he'll name the baby: Megan. Mary. Charles. Phillip. Richard... Dexter Jr.? He envisions Harry holding his infant son.
- Dexter imagines a day at the park with his son (around age 10) and Rita and her kids. Harry appears next to him on the swingset and reminds him that Astor and Cody would be much older by the time his son is that age. Dexter responds by saying he really enjoys them at their current age. Then he becomes hostile to Harry and resents the idea that Harry never envisioned such a normal, happy life for Dexter. The dream ends with Dexter's son having done something horrible to Astor, and Rita begs, 'What have you done?' to Dexter.
| | | DEXTER'S RELATIONSHIPS
| | | - Rita gives Dexter a choice: either be involved in the baby's life or don't. She says she will not hold it against Dexter if he wants to leave.
- Dexter's lack of interpersonal skills and interpretation of body language is evident as Rita subtly tries to get Dexter to make a decision about raising the baby. He appears clueless.
| | - Angel is the only person Dexter tells about Rita's pregnancy so far. It makes Angel's day to hear Dexter will be a father, because Angel is also a proud father.
- Miguel invites Dexter and Rita to dinner with his wife at their home. Dexter convinces Miguel to share the latest leads on his brother's murder case by citing his sleuthing capabilites (he was able to hack into Oscar Prado's secure police records).
- When Miguel unexpectedly finds Dexter at Teagan's house, he is shocked and confused. When Dexter claims he killed Freebo in self defense, Miguel is overcome with relief. He embraces Dexter and assures him that no one will find out about it. Dexter is visibly shaken due to the close call, but it comes off as nerves resulting from his kill.
