EPISODE 4: "See-Through"

Lila

Episode summary: Rita's estranged mother visits and senses something is wrong with Dexter. Masuka thinks he's developed a lead in the Bay Harbor Butcher case, which has Dexter concerned. Angel's interrogation of a witness crosses a line. Dexter's Narcotics Anonymous sponsor (Jaime Murray as Lila) poses a threat to Rita.

Dexter begins to have second thoughts about Lila's suitability as an NA sponsor and Rita encourages him to find someone else, preferably male. While the investigation into the Bay Harbour Butcher continues, Dexter hears that his forensic colleague Vince may have come up with a way to identify where the killer moored his boat. Dexter's attempt to destroy the evidence doesn't quite go as planned. Debra finally hooks up with the man she has been ogling at her gym. Dexter meets Rita's mom who is in town visiting. She tells Rita that there is no doubt in her mind that Dexter is hiding something.

What is that song when Dexter and his sponsor are driving before she steals? Goes like, "it's a long way home" "and all i see is darkness" "it's a long way home".

I think that Season 2 is doing a great job in building tension and developing the sub plots that will build to my eventual prediction: Debra will kill Dexter and take over in Season 3 as the new killer. Hey, it runs in the family.

ZizzyB23 Almost painful 4 Oct 29 2007, 6:37 PM EDT by ZizzyB23

Dexter is single-handedly my favorite show on television ever. Period. But this past episode was without a doubt, the single worst episode they have produced so far. Almost painful to watch actually. All the sexual tension between Dexter and Lila, Deb and Lundy, even Angel and the woman he was interviewing, seemed tacked on. And the whole deal with La Guerta and Pescal's fiance? Don't get me started! Dexter isn't suppose to be that kind of show! It's not a soap-opera. Anyone out there agree?
