This episode was a great step in the right direction. There was a very gratuitous sex scene in the beginning, and a not as graphic, but equally needless, sex scene further in the episode, but those aside, this episode made me happy. I was thrilled Lila's true colors were shown, and even MORE thrilled Dexter made the comment about feeling "clean" when he's with Rita and the kids. You go Dex! You know where you belong!
One of my favorite parts of the episode was when Deb caught Dexter in bed. What she said to him essentially captured what I wished I could've said to him. I liked Deb and Lundy kissing. It was good for them. Oh, and wasn't the show down with Doakes intense? I wonder how that will pan out in the long run. I know Doakes is a real jerk, but I really like his character. I hope they don't kill him off or anything, however I can't imagine Doakes just dropping his whole obsession with Dexter any other way! I hope the writers know what they're doing. I'm a little skeptical of Lundy thinking the Butcher is one of the cops because they still have five episodes left and I don't know how much closer they can get to Dexter without catching him, but they have five weeks to do it! However, the fact that they are getting that much closer to him is definitely going to keep me coming back for more next week (as if I wasn't going to already!). Overall, it was a good episode for me. Anyone else think so? Any nay-sayers? Showtime's description of next week's episode gets me excited cause it looks like the old Dexter may be coming back in some form. ps- Could someone explain the significance of the light bulb at the end? I know they commented on it earlier in the episode, but I didn't catch it all the way. Whatever it was, I think Dexter's starting to wise uip to Lla's psychotic behavior.
