| | The pressures of fatherhood threaten to bring Dexter's world crashing down. In his carelessness, Dexter realizes that he's misplaced crucial evidence, something that could expose his dark side to the world. But his search will have to wait, as Miami Metro's two simultaneous murder cases continue to escalate. Their top priority is to solve 'The Vacation Murders', a series of robberies gone bad that threaten Miami's lucrative tourist industry. Lundy, however, remains convinced that the bigger problem is dealing with the Trinity Killer, who unbeknownst to them is already stalking his next victim. Dexter has to weave a web of lies to extract himself from his duties, hoping to bury his secret before someone else finds it first. | |

|
| - This title, much like numerous other Dexter episode titles is a double entendre. After Dexter's car crash last episode, he has found himself with a concussion and is unable to remember what he has done with Benny Gomez's "remains" and is afraid they will "be seen" by others if he can't locate them.

| Victim(s): White male
| Assigned officers: Batista and Quinn
| Crime scene: Man is shot in the neck in hotel room, and the room is looted.
| | | Description of crime: | Suspect(s): Johnny Rose
| Clue(s): Trace blood found on tip of a cactus leads Miami Metro to Johnny Rose, via route of STD registry.
| Blood evidence suggests: Perp scratched themselves on the way out.
| |
 | Victim(s): Lisa Bell
| Assigned officers: Debra Morgan
| Crime scene: Woman in bathtub full of her own blood. Naked, with artery in leg cut.
| | | Description of crime: | Suspect(s): Eddie Noonan
| Clue(s): Similar murder happened 30 years ago in the same exact house and bathtub. Eddie is convited of that murder, and now that he's been released it would seem obvious that he's struck again.
| Blood evidence suggests: The crime scene is far too clean and trace-evidence-free for Eddie Noonan, the fumbling train wreck, to have committed the murder (or so Deb and Lundy think - and of course we know they're right).

| - Harry appears before Dexter at the site of his crash the previous night and chastises him for not being able to remember where the body is. He also suggests that all the blame for the incident could fall on Harrison's shoulders.
- Harry appears before Dexter at the dumpster at the pharmacy and acts as a sort of general antagonist to him.
- With Harry by his side, Dexter is able to remember his computer password (which, simply enough, is "Harry").
- As Dexter crawls into the house at night, Harry tells Dexter that he got lucky this time with the whole "Benny Gomez" problem, but he won't be so lucky in the future unless he sets his priorities straight, which according to him is that the "Dark Passenger" must come first.
