I keep my Dragon locked up in a cage. Being a functional Sociopath, I can relate very much to Dexter... When he describes how he sees others, I could relate down to the last minute detail... His lack of feelings, his being able to understand feelings, and his acting to fit into society...sometimes it doesn't work or you do the wrong thing... You have to watch others and act like them...the ultimate chameleon...

It is very true that much--if not all--of humanity has a dark side. But the way each individual deals with it shows them as either virtuous or not. I have one that I try not to think about, but I don't tamp it down and try to pretend it doesn't exist. Many do. That is why we have so much real horror in the world! "We are not alone," most definitely! When you try to keep a lid on a boiling poy, it eventoually overflows and injures anyone near. Keeping the top loose releases the most pressure and saves a lot of pain. All in all, though, I don't think I could bring myself to convict Dexter if I were on a jury--if it is considered vigilante justice, so be it! ( And just think of all the money he's saved the state for trials and food and housing for these criminals! Taxpayers should be ecstatic!) It is surer and swifter than the courts of our land!
