40. RE: Dexter V. Lundy - who's going to win?
Nov 25 2007, 9:37 PM EST
"We've kinda talked about this on another thread ("Does Agt. Lundy have a secret?",) that maybe Lundy could mentally justify Dex only killing to protect the innocent, that Deb may ultimately end up saving Dexter (from Lundy?), and yeah, that maybe Lundy is a little warped in his own thinking. As re: the possible extra handcuffs, and more Lundy "spanking" Deb--don't get my hopes up! Can't wait for tonight's episode to see how Dexter wrigggles out of this one!"I have given this very thing a lot of thought. Lundy could turn a blind eye, if he retired and married Deb. He would have to justify that Dex was just taking out the garbage. I think even then it will be a 'hard pill to swollow', But I think it could work that way. Then all will live happily ever after, The white picket fence, 2.3 kids a dog and birds chirping in the back ground etc. 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

Then all will live happily ever after, The white picket fence, 2.3 kids a dog and birds chirping in the back ground etc.Well, but then we wouldn't have the lovely show we have now. The Lundy character wouldn't do well in retirement...he will have to be killed in action... 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

"Then all will live happily ever after, The white picket fence, 2.3 kids a dog and birds chirping in the back ground etc.Of course this will not happen next season. I think Lundy will be good for 5 - 6 seasons. The there will have to be 1 -2 seasons of him getting used to Dexter having his affliction or Socially Dreaded Disease. Be fore you know it, there will be the son of Doakes grwn up and looking for the person that did his dad in. (Now mind you this would be the son he does not know about as the mother of the child has just found ouut she was pregnant, and has not tols him yet. And so on and so on....... They go for the ratings. Just grab a glass, pour some Rum into the glass, add some Coke a Cola, and a twist of Lime Sit back and drink and enjoy. I promise you the correct thing will happen to the Bay Harbor Butcher. Everything will be fin, I promise you. You may end up sitting on the edge of your seat for a minute or two. "I'm more of a Tequila kind of girl...No Kidding. You Love Dexter - I never could have guessed in a thousand years. LOL I actually thought you liked Tequila - So am I. But they are in Florida and the Land of Rum. Just trying to keep with the locale. I think its a sex thing right. You have mentioned his sculped body, and the Hot Pasion between Lila and Him, So I am thinking maybe someone gets a little turned on by Dexter, MayBe?? Huh? Huh? I just remember what he did in 6 feet under. He kissed men, I do not kiss men, I prefer women. I am pretty heterosexual that way. 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

I was a die-hard Queer As Folk fan, so the boy on boy stuff just makes him that much more attractive. Yeah, I know I'm too into the show. the writing is just so good (and I don't say that very often) and then they went and added Keith Carradine, which just makes it so much better. I need a third Season. I need Dex and Lundy to work more together. I need Lundy to keep thinking Dex is not even a possibility. I'm afraid Doakes is going to get to Lundy before Dex can kill him. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

Doakes getting to Lundy is a scary possibility. And you can bet the LaGuerta will be a bloodhound if/when Doakes turns up mained/dead. Could make Season 3 all about her trying to find out who was responsible..Yes, I need this show badly...

This show doesn't usually go for the obvious. Doakes dying is too obvious. The only way that he could die without a lot of suspicion is if he were to commit suicide. Then they could say that Doakes just went over the edge. But if he's murdered -- the Bay Harbor Butcher search is alive and well.I've no idea what will happen, but Doakes has the perfect training to survive a cage and to put mental pressure on a captor. So Dex is going to need to stay completely in top game to best him, and I don't believe that Dex is in top game at the present. Being with Lila threw Dex off in my opinion. Made him take some chances that worked against him. Now she's with Angel, and God knows what she'll say or do! Especially if Dex' last kill is ever discovered. Under these circumstances, will Dex thrive in his normal life with Rita, or be worried? Somehow, I think the "chase" from the cops is really turning him on. Its made him "feel" more than ever. His "feeling" started with hunting and killing his brother, not with Lila. As for Lundy? IF he's not using Deb to track Dex, then I think being with her will be a serious distraction to catching the "real" Bay Harbor Butcher. Sometimes its toughest to see that which is right in front of you. Seeing from a distance is clearer. Lundy has clouded his vision. Advantage - Dex. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

If Doakes is gone, I mean completely ie BHB style - Remaines in the Gulf Steam never to be found. It would look like Doakes went into hiding. I know LaGuarta will still believe he is inocent, and will try to find out all about it. But if he is gone, then the case will be closed untill more bodies are found, and BHB has taken care of that. Bodies in the Gulf Stream (That sounds like a song title - Maybe his theme music) Bodies in the gulf stream, Many miles away, Sharks will be well fed, for a long time to come......... la la la la, la la la la.......... And so on, and so on and so on...... 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Yeah, it will be easy to make Doakes disappear - but that will keep the FBI looking for the BHB indefinitely. The best way to really end this is to have Doakes killed by the police. Who knows, though, the plot is getting so intense! 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

I dont think so.Lundy is sure it is Doakes. If Doakes is gone, and there are no more bodies. Then case closed. Maybe it will be an ongoing ope case, But they will have no more evidence, and they will presume Doakes has left the area, so there will be no reason to stick around. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. "No reason to stick around unless Dexter slips up and Lila's body is found..."Unless there's another situation like Jimenez, where he can't get rid of a body right away, Dex won't be leaving any more bodies to find. He learned his lesson. 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

I know, I just worry that too many people know of Dexter's connection to Lila, people who have jobs "speaking" for the dead. Dexter may be just a tad distracted for the next little while, deciding whether to kill an "innocent" Doakes, still keeping ahead of bloodhound Lundy, patching things up with Rita, etc.
