All those twists are interesting. The one that makes the most sense to me is Harry being a killer, but if somebody killed the woman you were having an affair with, would you let him live to a ripe old age? So that seems off, if that were the case, but there may be something about the trials we don't know.

I don't know why Harry was so intent on Dexter's survival, but he certainly was, and he knew Dex had to kill. Could Harry have trauma of is own that is somehow reflected on Dexter? I really want to know what happened to Brian that day. We've seen the scene many times where he picks Dexter up and doesn't let him go. Something still doesn't fit. Did Harry have a history with Brian? We saw Dex at the police station with his mother. What else has Dexter suppressed that can surface? Was he in the car at the park?

Lundy as a killer? Cool idea, but I don't see that either. I think the edge is just Keith himself - he's an edgey kind of actor. They seem to be trying to make him seem very sensual and honest. It's a nice idea that Deb is getting what she always wanted. She's too dependent on Dexter, and that cuts into his lifestyle.

I don't want to see Deb kidnapped by another killer, unless it's Lila. That would be an interesting cat fight.

Does Lundy leave if Doakes is killed? Does Lundy keep investigating? Is he on to Dexter at all? What Dexter said to Lundy and the other guy doesn't match what has been said in front of other people. Can Dexter make it look like Doakes planned to frame him?

Is Lundy after Lila, too? Maybe there's more than one serial killer on Lundy's list.

Interesting, elliemae71 and Morgaine...maybe Dexter mother kinda felt abut Harry and way that Deb initially felt about Lundy--that he was safe and mature and clean. Even if they didn't have an affair, he may've felt responsible for the kids since it was his fault their mother died. We don't know what awful things Brian might've been doing when Harry opened the compartment door; maybe something that so sickened even him that he grabbed Dexter up and took him home to be his project.

I agree that Keith Carradine is an edgy kind of actor; that's why I think I just so want his character to hang around

You know, that never even occurred to me. That could have been a really sick scene. I'd still like to know what happened, and why Dexter had no memory of Brian.

Well, maybe we'll have to wait for next season for more past revelations; I can barely wait for Sunday's episode. Only 2 left, and I swear I don't see how it can end now! Do you find this valuable?

I just don't want a cliff hanger. I want the season to end with Dexter being secure. Three more days.... Do you find this valuable?

"Dex is good at finding serial killers, because he is one, maybe so is Lundy?
* Slightly less logically, Lundy "has a vibe" about him which seems edgy... could be just that he's the Dexter's enemy and that's how they're playing it.
* Deb is falling for Lundy, and she does have a track record with killers: her step-brother (Dex), her step-brother's brother (Rudy/Brian)... maybe a hell of a twist for the writers to take, but I think I'd let them make that twist once. (If I'm right, they can't play that card again in a third series though!)
* Maybe, just maybe, Lundy has already recognised something in Dex and he's arming himself with a hostage (Deb).

What about way back farther when Keith played one of the Younger brothers in the movie The Long Riders? the James-Younger gang, Jesse James that is.

but as I was reading the post from Simon I was hanging right on and then got slung off at the hostage part. What if Harry was like Dexter? and that the something. What if Lundy is like Dexter, the gradute older version but getting ready to retire his off duty activities because he's getting too old to kill the killers by hand and cart them off and hide them. What about that twist"
I still think Lundy knows Serial Killers cuz he is a Profiler and is supposed to know what they are and how they act and what they do. As Lundy is the rock Star then he should know better than anyone else.
I just can not believe Lundy is any more than he is a very well trained very experienced FBI agent that specializes in Serial Killers. I understand everyone can read what ever they want to into this as this is what this wiki is all about. Lundy is a great FBI guy, and who knows what?

I kind of agree with you. I've mentioned this before, but a hero of mine is John Douglas, who designed the FBI training program for profilers. Lundy reminds me of him. Mild--mannered, really smart, maybe a little too nice for his own good. Douglas finally has to retire before he worked himself to death. He just couldn't say no to people when they'd ask for help. Every case would be so horrible that he just couldn't refuse and he had a heart attack. I can totally see Lundy being that kind of guy.

I can see Lundy as a work a holic (Is the a 12 step program for that?)
Actually I think it is called Deb. She can 12 step him right in to shape.
I hope he forgets alabout Dexter and focuses on Deb. Then Dex can keep doing his thing, and Lundy can just say 'Oh, What ever'! 'Ive got my Deb and can retire in peace'.. When he hears about the BHB.
But I dont think this is a viable story line.

What - Deb and Lundy? I think it would be funny to have Dex's brother-in-law being the top profiler with the FBI. I don't think it would be consistent with the character of Lundy to just sleep with her and move on. He doesn't seem like the kind of guy who would start something he didn't intend to finish. Am I reading him wrong, guys?

I think you are right, I think Lundy is an, 'Iam in for the long haul' kind of guy. I think it he has not been dating since his wife died because he is a cominment oriented person. He is not a lovem and leavem sort of guy. When he sez he'll call ya you can depend on the call. I think he has some feeling for Deb. But the fact that he is not experienced with women, I must think that he may be one of those people that confusing sex for love. Since he has sex with her then he must be in love with her. That may be the only problem I can see in him.
I love the guy. I have always thought he had more talent than either of his two brothers. So I hope his chacter comes out on top. But I do still remember the chacter (I think the name was Earl) in Criminal Minds, where he was a serial criminal/rapist (I think). Any way he was so scarey - He did not have Harry around to train him. He was a Jeffrey Dahmer (sp) type. Murdered and ate the organs. He was creepy, I have night mares about that. I never have that type of flashback from any movie.
So when people talk about Lundy having a secret I think about his time on Criminal Minds.

I guess so! I don't watch CSI, so I missed it. They enjoy the gore a little too much. Dexter kind of makes fun of it. Also, I don't do cannibals -yech! There's a real danger of them going there with Dexter and Brian, but they've resisted so far.

Keith has always been my favorite Carradine, but I like them all. Keith is the one that seems to have had staying power. David's still trapped in Kung Fu. Keith plays a great bad guy, but he makes a good hero or anti-hero as well.

He played a serial kiler named Frank on a 2-part episode of Criminal minds...but as re: Lundy, I don't think he is confusing sex with love, but I'd like to think that he is fastidious enough not to just fall in bed with anyone, not matter how young and available they are, so I think he does care for Debra. That's what's keeping me sane - the idea that I don't think he'd get involved with Deb if he was going to put her brother in the electric chair.

Notice how their names are Deb and Dex? Lends more to the idea that they're actually siblings. Dexter is really his name, isn't it?

I believe it was the season before this season finale, and this season opener. Any way he was in and out of the show during last season. Then at the end of the season he was so scarey. I think it was last season. I hope you find it it is worth watching. He was so scarey and wierd, and so very good. I really like the guy, But I was afraid of him by the time it ended. I really had bad feelings about that sort of person.

I agree he is not the type to just jump into bed cuz he was flirted with. I too am sure he has some very real feeling for Deb

Sorry I hit the button too fast, I had to answer a beeper. Anyway I wanted to add that I am sure Deb has very deep feeling for him as well.
I really do feel they are good for each other. A good balance that Deb has needed to help her feel needed, and He needs someone that is more fun cuz he has been alone for too long. They will help each other grow or something like that. Sorry I am a guy I dont think that deep.

Keith has got that edge to him, so he can be really intense and scarey. We're seeing a little bit of it in Lundy. He really tore into LaGuerta in the last episode.
