85. RE: Where do you think they'll go?

"Maybe you're right; it will be interesting to see it without all the profanity (at least it doesn't seem so forced as all the cursing in 'Deadwood!')...anyway, I'm so pitifully in need of a Dexter fix, I will probably watch it on CBS, just as though I've never even seen it...!"I am with you Darlin', I need a Dexter FIx. It is too funny that I of all people, ( You see I am not really this kind of guy) But Dxter has brought something out in me that I kind of like. So I am in need of the big D. I will not mind a PG version at all. (I love the old west and anything cowboy) But I really got tired of Deadwoods language. Again a writer taking something out of context. Go figure a writer taking liberty with a historical fact out of context and changing it to suit thier purpose. I know we all questioned some of the writing of Dexter. As it was there were new writers for each episode and a Head writer to keep it all in context of the show. Now may be the show / writing will have some consistancy by havingthe same writers for the series. (or maybe not). I am excited to have it on CBS and to have it starting in a few days so to speak (yes I know it is not literally a few days) But I have it circled on my calendar and have that posted on my saddle. (Again not seriously on my saddle) I have my PDA mounted on my saddle and that is postd with Dexters start. 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

I'll miss the profanity a little, not the big words, but the more smaller words like when Lundy first swore, I wonder how the editing will get around that if they even keep that scene that is.... I too disliked Deb's cursing and it seemed terribly forced in the first season, but it seemed more under control in season 2.

I just saw a little longer commercial tonight on CBS, and the lighting was different, and the lab looked completely different. I think we will be surprised. The dialog may be the same with out the language we hame come to expect fro Deb. The skin will be some what less. Hopefully the script will be close. I still say they will have different writers. I hope they will stay more in sync from episode to episode.

We are in the presence of buttness...greatness.... Don't worry about the episode of Lundy's butt, I have all the episodes and almost of his films now too! We've even dedicated a page for his butt on our site. I couldn't resist! 48 minutes of his butt...hmmm maybe dexgal and I might release a whole video dedicated with clips only of KC's butt lolI'm a little anxious to see the clean season... only a few days to go! 1 out of 2 found this valuable. I think it will not be as good, COMMERCIALS, for one thing, breaks the train of the great ride in Dexter. I think it will never be as good on CBS as it was on Showtime, but I hope I am wrong, it was (and hopefully will be) my favorite show of all time. I do like Boston Legal as well. But Dexter has that edge, that I just love, will he get caught, won't he get caught, I don't ever want him to get caught, he is the BEST thing on TV. 0 out of 1 found this valuable. I can not find the thread now, but I saw a thread about things viewers would like the writers to add to the next season or future seasons. The one I really hope does n ot happen is that Cody is called to carry on the duty of serial killing. How can anyone think it is a possibility? Is Cody damaged the way Dexter or Rudy was? I just can not see it. I do not want to see it. It would be a shame if this was added. 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

"I'm still pissed that they killed off doakes anyone with me..he made the show somewhat interesting other thatn dex..i loved that dude,,he was funny as hell!"I do not miss Doakes. He was a bigot and I am not. I do not believe in showing that type of behavior. His prejudice toward Dex was unfouded, and his obsession with tring to make something out of nothing. After all, He did not like Dexter because he was different. (Sound familiar). Dex did nothing to provoke Doakes. Doakes just kept pushing and pushing. He was funny when Dex kicked his butt ( every time Dex kicked his butt). He may NOT have gotten what he deserved meaning killed. He sure deserved to be discredited. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. I know plenty of people who give me the creeps and who I think something is wrong with. Obviously I don't chastise them like Doakes did Dexter, but that's just his character? A bigot? That's ridiculous. And besides, all his suspicions ended up being right anyway. 4 out of 5 found this valuable. Do you? |

Obviously I don't chastise them like Doakes did Dexter, but that's just his character? A bigot? That's ridiculous. And besides, all his suspicions ended up being right anyway."Bigot is an extremist. It is not always related to racial. Doakes was at the extreme when he was dealing with Dex's wierdness. The only time he was decent was when he thought he saw Dex as an Alcoholic, or when he thought Dex would let him turn him in. Other wise - Doakes was on Dex like a Monkey on a Banana. He was all over him. Bigot is - noun: a person who is intolerant of any opinions differing from his own. I see Doakes in this don't you? It does not matter if he was right or not. He was prejudiced toward Dexter. What is rediculous is that .. well I wont go into that here. I have absoltely no tolerance for anyone that treats another person the way Doakes treated Dexter. That is wrong no matter how you defend it. It is my opinion, Zizzy and I will stand by it. I hate people like that. Doakes character has no excuse. He is an extremist who is intolerant of other people. Unless he wants something then he is Mr. Nice. 2 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |
