I thought this page was supposed to help people watching the CBS version understand what they are missing from the Showtime version. So far, only 3 episodes have aired, and people are writing (nonsensical) comments about season 2, which probably won't even air on CBS. How can you compare how CBS does things if they haven't even aired the particular content people are writing about? I think the last two comments should be deleted, especially the last one. But I don't want to offend the people that posted them...what does everyone think? 9  out of 13 found this valuable. Do you?

Leave it to Cyndawg to lay down the law. You're right, what is this crap? Also, half of it is in fractured English thats hard to understand. 5  out of 7 found this valuable. Do you?

You make some very valid points regarding people who offer comments based on things that have not aired. But, seriously, the bottom line here is if you want to really appreciate Dexter, the way to do it through the uncensored version. The watered down version fails to really do justice to the show and it's characters. 4  out of 6 found this valuable. Do you?

I totally disagree with the whole thing, they can't be called "spoilers" when technically season 1 and 2 have already aired and the people watching the cbs version are aware and by going on this dexter wiki they are reading and taking the chance of reading what aired on SHOWTIME since it is a showtime site!!!

However the page in question is the "Showtime vs. CBS" page, and people should not be talking about season two on it since season two hasn't even aired on CBS.

I'm just talking about the single page CBS vs. Showtime. Obviously people are going to be curious and will explore the site, but I think the page should just stick to what it was created for---comparisons. And I agree with gypsydawn that the Showtime version is WAYYYY better and anyone seriously into the show should invest in the DVDs, but for those just watching it on CBS for now, the page could really be helpful as the season progresses and gets "steamier". And you are right, DextersSidekick, Season two talk isn't really a "spoiler" but it IS for newbies, and again, thats why this page was created. And lastly, its not like its a cardinal sin to write nonrelevant info on a page, so I'm not losing sleep over this, I just wanted to know if anyone shared my opinion. I do appreciate all the comments, even if some are in disagreement. Yay free specech!

oohhh i see, my mistake. See i thought the comment made about spoilers referred to the whole dexter forum in general, I didnt realize it was specific to the cbs vs. showtime topic, sorry guys I guess i got ahead of myself there and didn't fully read or pay attention.now that were on the same page i agree spoilers shouldnt be included in the cbs vs. showtime courtesy to all the dexter newbies. YAY FOR PEACE, LOVE, AND UNDERSTANDING. RIGHT? LOL

actually the water down version ( as u so put it ) does a pritty good job with the justice. i started out watching it on cbs and went over to a friends house and watched the rest of season 1 and 2 an showtime on demand. they pretty much show the same thing. i dont really thing anyone can get mad about the people who have seen it all so far because this is a dexter site and there still talking about dexter. mabey you all should not have joined untill u were cought up if u have a big problem. just because they have showtime doesent mean they should sit back and hold off a good conversation. this is coming from a person who dosent have showtime eather. 2  out of 6 found this valuable. I don't think you understand the purpose of this thread. It has been explained (a few times) that the complaint (mild as it is) was only towards the comments being made on A SINGLE PAGE that is supposed to be dedicated to comparing CBS vs. SHOWTIME. None of us here are mad about anything and none of us here are encouraging people to "hold off a good conversation". FYI, all of us commenting on this thread ARE caught up through season two.

If I may offer the opinion of a new CBS viewer...I think the concern over spoilers is a non-issue. When I joined this Wiki I knew there would be discussion about both versions, all the episodes etc. and it didn't really matter. If I happen to come across something I didn't know or haven't seen yet, for me it just adds to the whole "Dexter experience". There are so many nuances in both the writing and the visuals, that you can't appreciate it all in just one viewing. I find the wiki helpful in filling in details I may have missed. It's not the end of the world to find out about a future episode, the show is about so much more than just the suspense of a traditional police procedural. The way I see it, it's kind of like when someone complains about something they see on TV, well...just change the channel??? It's the same with this wiki, if you don't like what you read, well...just log-off.
I think everybody should feel free to write about whatever they want.
Nuff said.
