IGN talks to Melissa Rosenberg about season three
Apr 17 2008, 8:26 PM EDT Hey guys. I hope a lot of you guys are able to find this, but IGN just posted a little article about a talk they had with Melissa Rosenberg, a writer and co-executive producer of Dexter. If you wanna check it, the html is this: http://tv.ign.com/articles/867/867502p1.html?RSSwhen2008-04-17_154400&RSSid=867502 It doesn't reveal very much at all regarding specifics of season three, but its comforting to know that they have figured out an official story that they're going to stick with. She says she misses Erik King (Doakes) and I do to, so I hope they fit in a flash back SOMEWHERE in the next season (as corny as it may turn out). Also she mentions twice "five years", like she just wants Dexter to have five seasons and thats it. What do you guys gather from the article? 7 out of 8 found this valuable. Do you? |

If you wanna check it, the html is this:I think that maybe she was using "five years" as a figure of speech to show how the writers have to plan ahead, to stretch out plot details, figure out what devices to use, etc. Do you think that's possibly what was meant? I also hope they have several flashbacks: one to Dexter finding out where Lila was, some with Doakes with Deb, LaGuerta and Dexter--could Doakes become a voice in Dexter's head (like Number Six was for Baltar on Battlestar Galactice?). And you know I want Lundy to return...lol! 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

RE: IGN talks to Melissa Rosenberg about season three
Apr 21 2008, 1:12 AM EDT I would LOVE if Doakes became a voice in Dexter's head, however you know they did that already a little with Brian in the first couple episodes of season two. I don't know what they'll do. I just feel bad for Erik King. He's been put out of a job because he was so damn good at it. What a shame to be an actor. About the five years thing, I hope its just a figure of speech! Obviously I want Dexter to go on for as long as possible (then again, it's only gonna be year three, so maybe I shouldn't look TOO far in the future). 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |
