The music used in Dexter is awesome!!! The composer for the show adds just the right amount of "creepiness" to each song to suite Dex but still keeps the music to a level as to where you are still compassionate about Dexter... even when he is murdering a murderer. I honestly don't know how he does it. The show just wouldnt be the same withouttwo things...Michael C. Hall's brilliant interpretation of Lindsay's character and the music in each scene. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Thank You!! I'm in absolute agreement. I've been thinking a LOT about the various themes in the show, the really creepy one, the "almost Western get-the-bad-guy" theme, the opening, which has this incredible combination of creep, bounce, and at the end, the almost circus sound to it.

I LOVE the music. Do you find this valuable?

I completely agree, though my favorite is Dexter's killing theme or the music that comes on when he gets a profound thought. They are soo creapy but the always make you feel exactly how he is feeling. Yes i must say the writing directing and acting if very very good in the program but, if it wernt for the music evoking a lot of the feelings in the scene you mite not view the show the same. Do you find this valuable?

Dexter is the first (and only) show where I am actually considering buying the "soundtrack" CD. Do you find this valuable?

I bought the soundtrack the day it came out. I still listen to it from time to time (usually every month or so). I don't regret my purchase at all. You'll love it.

Season two consisted of largely re-purposed songs from season one, so don't be expecting a soundtrack for season two to show up (although there is at least one song on the soundtrack from season two already there). 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?
