Dexter - twists or twisted
Jun 9 2008, 2:33 PM EDT
There has to be a time when Dexter kills someone who hasn't killed, but didn't realize it when he did it. For instance.....when he killed the supposed buyer that was going to come to the cabin in Season Two. All he did was a background search to see he had a prior record that justified his killing. What if that guy was GIVEN a criminal record because he was undercover cop, and Dexter killed him and didn't find out until afterwards he was a? That'd be a good episode...how would Dexter cope? They'll def do something like that I bet.

If this were real life I would agree with you completely. But being this is TV and a figment of someones imagination. I will give the writers enough credit to have the criminals to be bad enough to deserve to get what they are getting. lol.
This brings to mind the whole issue of vigilante justice. It is wrong, and we as a society have the justice system in effect to have a jury of our peers. This is what makes our system better than most. Now enter the slick lawyer. I will not embellish on this cuz they are needed, but we all have heard stories about lawyers and how they have done what they have done for the good and bad.
This is TV, and just for the sake of it I like the idea of Dexter taking out these bad guys. If they play on that side of the law, well guilty is guilty of doing illegal things. Yes not all crimes deserve death. If they are playing that close to the ultimate ilegal item, then haw far should they go before they really do something bad. I know there are flaws in what I just wrote. I am tired and I lost my train of thought. Its a good thing I am not doing Dexters planning huh?

*SPOILERS FOR S3*
You're a genius! And I'm pretty sure Dexter will kill the wrong guy one episode because a) it's in the book. b) it's in one of the scripts of season 3 that surfaced online! (spoiler-tv dot blogspot dot com)
Though not directly revealed in the scene, but I've concluded it because the kill at the beginning of season 3 is almost exactly the same as the one at the beginning of book 3. Just different characters but Freebo is definitely the replacement for the millionaire victim in the book.

So we are back to the book again. It is by the book huh?
But I thought the book and the Show were different enough that they can not rely on each other for correct info.

They are following the same theme of the book, in one of the scripts this lawyer asks dexter if he believes in the soul, and dexter being the atheist he is says that he's a man of science. i don't think they'll follow the plot line of the book (all the Moloch mumbo jumbo) but they'll keep the spirit of it.
In season 2, Lila was the replacement for the Dr Danco, the lunatic doctor in the book that even dexter was scared of, it's easy to notice that.
