"Even though I am a woman and I'm liberated & all of that, I find it much easier to be friends with men. Like I said, there have been a few female friends that were really good friends, but very few and I am picky about my friends. If they are catty and judgemental, I won't have them as friends. I like to deal with things out in the open, like you. I have gotten my feelings hurt before, but I will ask people up front if they meant to do it or not. (I've asked you before, and thanks for telling me!) All women aren't bad, just as all men aren't bad, but in both I find that some are ruled by hormones (estrogen and testosterone!) more than others. (Rita, lately, case in point...but she has a good excuse at least!) I have worked for both male and female bosses and have also found that it is much easier to work for a man. I am not being sexist here, just honest. "
I was always under the impression that pregnancy brought about good hormones. I have heard a lot of women say they loved being pregnant as they always felt great. I thought it was because the hormones were at heir peak levels and it was a good time.
The only bad things I have heard about pregnancy is that the Nausea and Vomiting was awful and after awhile like the 2nd trimester that leveled out and the nausea and vomiting stopped or at least slowed down to where it was not a problem.
I had also thought and it was one of my ways to predict the sex, there are two one way that in my book is 100% that if the woman looks pregnant from the back like she is spreading side ways it is a girl, and I also noted that the Nausea and Vomiting was worse with a girl. With a boy they always seem to go straight out front and the woman does not look pregnant from the back. The N& V is less if not absent..

That's pretty cool that you can tell that way. Like I said, I wouldn't know about the whole pregnancy thing. My sis and spya would know. I wish that they would come back!

Yeah, we are all pretty tight alright!
We haven't heard your thoughts on Dexter yet. It's good to get different opinions going. Sometimes we have made a bunch of statements already with all of the threads going on here, and we need a new, fresh outlook on things. So...tell us what you think so far.

Damn work colleagues distracting me with work related stuff!!
Not had a chance to read all the forums re what has went before but Dexter is definately different.I only got into it after watching six feet under then hearing an interview with MCH when he was down here promoting Dexter.I think it works on a lot of different levels, you certainly feel an affinity with Dex even though he is a killer which is wrong, right?I actually thought that this season was a bit slow and wasn't going to be as good as the previous two but have been hooked again.I think i overdosed on Dex for a bit though as I rented the complete season 2 and watched three episodes a night ,so when it finished i was constantly looking for more of a fix.I think you have a saying about 'the water cooler 'where everyone gathers round and discusses something.Unfortunately not everyone has seen it here and don't know what i am raving on about but i have been sending as many people as i can down to the rental shop to see for themselves. getting them hooked too !

This is my feeling only, but I do think that this season is lacking. Although there have been a couple of good episodes, for the most part it just isn't as good as the past 2 seasons. I prefer the second season myself. I think that they added too many characters and have gone off in too manydirections this season. Usually, we would still be all into it and discussing our heads off, but we seem to talk less & less about it lately. I don't know if it's the writers or what. I think the whole thing with trying to make Dexter normal is interfering somewhat. Some people like that, others don't. Last weeks episode was a real let down. This week was better, but still....I can't seem to put my finger on it exactly, all I can say again is lacking.
I have both sets of DVD's. I got a few people hooked which was fun. When my BFF moved to Australia she was upset because she used to come over here every Sunday night to watch it with me. She still doesn't have Showtime but has been watching it there on network as she missed the whole first season. That's when I found out that they don't cut it there.
It is certainly an addictive program! We will all be going through Dexter withdrawals when the season is over.

It's OK they will be here, You just have to put up with us send choice folks until they get back.
I used to work the best with women, I prefered them to men for the most part. But this last group of women I worked with were not much fun. They were a lot like Maxine, but they were not at all attractive, and they were gossipy and just not fun at all.
So I then preferred the men and especially the residents not even my own kind. The male nurses that I worked with were to much like an old lady, they gossiped worse than the women. I think that if I was in a work environment with my Slice Of Life Buddies (Gals that is) I would go back to preferring the women.

I agree with you.For me the highlight was season 2.I still remember the episode with Doaks confronting Dex on the jetty whilst the FBI were watching Dex's apartment and he had to get back before sun up.I went to bed that night thinking about all the permutations and how it would develop.I thought,'that's it,it's all over now" but he lived to fight another day.It certainly needs to be spiced up and maybe concentrating too much on the domestic side has caused this.I certainly think the kill ratio has to increase. The Miguel involvement has boosted it a bit but i prefered it with just Dex.

The concert was great, but it was 2 hours late getting started. No opening act-just a DJ that got everyone going for 1/2 an hour and then left. When Madonna finally took the stage, she did rule. But, she really did not interact w/the audience too much, maybe 15-20 minutes total, and when she left-she left. No encore. Parking was atrocious. We paid $30 to park in an area that during normal times would've costed approx $15 and that for all night. So glad I won those tickets. People sitting where we did probably spent $400-$600 per ticket, and God forbid if you were too large. I saw many people that could not fit in the seat and when standing, you touched everyone. When we were leaving, I felt like was at an orgy without sex. I have never touched so many people all over and been touched all over by so many at 1 time. Anyhow, the show itself was good and it was fun to get away from the daily routine.

I told her to go to www.projectfreetv.com. One of our other Dexter pals posted that site, and it is great. I think she found it as she wrote me and thanked me for the info. Any way if you ever want to watch a TV show on your internet hook up this is great. It will let you watch anything I threw at it the other day. I saw the last episode (meaning the most current ) of House and then there were so many choices top go to.
If you ever need to watch Dexter go there - again it is - w3.projectfreeTV.com. There are movies old and new. so there is too much stuff in fact.

Yep. You can tell. Everyone I know who has carried girls, just explodes and gains weight all over. When carrying boys, it appears to be all in front. I carried 1 of each and this was my situation as well. I did not show for the 1rst 6 months and literally woke up with my girl to find some fat broad looking back at me. It was not pleasant.

Well-I cannot say there are none on the forum, but NOT ON THIS THREAD. We do have a tight relationship going, and the more the merrier. Maybe we can take for a jaunt on the Slice of Life, but you will need to bring something along.
