Best Cry Scene
Oct 26 2009, 9:50 PM EDT | Post edited: Oct 26 2009, 9:50 PM EDT
I don't care how many guys she slept with. The bottom line is she is as real as she can get. That's what girls are struggling with today, trying to find the right guy. Someone that knows you, inside and out.
I have to say, Sunday's episode left me emotionally wrecked. I couldn't stop crying, after watching Deb let it all out. It was sooooo emotional. She had me going, I couldn't stop. I have to say, that was one of the best cries, I've seen in Movies and Television. It was Real. It was as if she really, truly was crying for someone she lost. She got to me. Just like Internal Affairs, when Laurie Metcliff got shot. That was a great shot scene. It looked real. They are what I call real actors. Fantastic, brilliant, Bravo, I know Karen Carpenter will get the Emmy, hell she should get an Oscar for that performance.
I know I'm going on and on about this scene. But when someone is great, they need to get acknowledge and sometimes, they're over looked. Producers chose the right person for Dexter and the right person, to play his sister. I love you both and of course the rest of the cast. You are all great!!!!!!!!!

I couldn't agree more. Sometimes that side of Deb grates on me, as in the episode in season 1 when Dexter's real father leaves him the house, and Deb is all pissed off that Dexter seems to care a little bit about his "bio dad." But the scene you're referring to in last night's episode gave me the chills. I just kept thinking, "My God, this is so real, this is brilliant, I've never seen better acting," etc. Do you find this valuable?

I think she snotted better when the ice truck killer had escaped and she was in the ambulance saying how scared she was and grabbed onto dexter that was great total dead silence and then boom. That's normal any human being would do it after all that . I am not rating her snot scene about Lundy but some people don't react that way but since we are talking about it thought I would add my 2 cents 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

That was the most unbelievable scene I have seen in a long time, to get to that place is well like she is married to a person she works with and has to see him everyday and every night and everyday and every...oh she is oh, but still a great job Do you find this valuable?

I totally agree with you on that one. I've never seen such an unpretentious, yet good looking crying scene before. That gal is talented, obviously. But 'Bexaida,' her name isn't Karen Carpenter, it's Jennifer Carpenter. Does anyone remember the scene from that episode in the season where she's running after a boy then she points a gun at his head? Harsh, but she looked fabulous when she was running didn't she? I think it was season 2 maybe. Do you find this valuable?

When I first saw this episode, I was scrambling for the tissues. The raw emotion and pain, as acted by Jennifer Carpenter, was so, so powerful and so real. Anyone who has ever lost anyone, regardless of how the person died, could relate to the scene. I happened to TiVo that episode and went back and watched the scene several times. It was so very well done. If Carpenter doesn't win an award for that episode, something's seriously wrong. Everyone deals with grief in their own way and for those of us who choose to let it all go, WELL DONE! I don't know if it was the best cry scene I've ever seen, but it WAS, in my opinion, the best acting I've seen Jennifer do in four seasons of this show. Do you find this valuable?

I am looking at this from my own emotional point of view. I must admit Dexter proposing to Rita, and her welling up to (admittedly not Dexters') words) got me a little dewy eyed.
