Yes but the struggle of control is the issue that some women and control freaks watching the show will feed on. The Moron saying kill her is simply one step from neanderthal and that he can't help. I must be honest that maybe in the long run her constant tethering will reveal an exsposed vein in Dexter's mask in the future only that will build up the heat from Rita's present needs to be fulfilled. Dexter's evoulution is constant but I don't know if he will ever be a fully functioning "human"
