Wedding bells fade away
Cold lizard brain, Hot summer
Must get sharp release!

Is tonight the Night?
Sticky heat, Bright sun, MURDER...
How I love the Dark

Homocide! Not mine..
I too investigate, Alone.
Justice served Sharp, Cold...

My first stab at Haiku!! So fun. Thanks!

"
Who doesn't love a good haiku? This week we're serving poetic justice, Dexter style! Compose a Dexter-themed haiku!
Remember a haiku consists of three phrases of 5, 7, and 5.

ex:
The Dark Defender
Only kills the bad people
Not the innocent...

Have fun!

+++IF YOU DO NOT ENTER YOUR HAIKU ON *THIS* THREAD YOU WILL NOT BE ENTERED INTO THE DRAWING+++
* Adding one "DEXTER HAIKU" to the SERVE POETIC JUSTICE thread qualifies as ONE (1) sweepstakes entry submission.*"
Swift slices his knife,
Giving pain to the wicked,
Blood falls with justice.

Teaches them by example -
Kill and toss the trash.

I decided to write a few, however, I will only submit one as an entry to the contest, we'll call the rest friendly fires tarters for wonderful haiku. :)

Entry:
---------------------
Bay Harbor Butcher
his code, his curse, your demise.
silent, stalking his prey.
---------------------

The rest of these are other haikus I wrote <3

Justice by the book
written by Harry Morgan
who lives on forever.

Swift retribution
only for those that deserve
death - adrift at sea.

My dark passenger
Burns from within me always
He says pull over.

Miami Metro
The crime is solved - oh?
Incompetence - sweet.

Bay Harbor Butcher
a code, a curse, your demise.
silent, stalking his prey.

Rita upsets me
Recently she's been naggy
Get off dexter's case.

Patience, the time's near
I draw my needle, prepared
The blade falls soft, death.

Mitchell - Innocent?
The truth of the matter though,
Anton shot Debra.

Lundy has fallen
Trinity lives on - for now
Dexter is waiting.

Haiku - difficult
I've written many today
I need to stop now.

Vacation Murders
and a trinity killer
I seek resolution.

My justice is swift
The laws, they are cumbersome
Jail? I'd prefer death.

The wicked - restless
and indeed, 'tis with good cause
I am the reaper.

Sing me a song Dexter,
The low tones of death, its grasp
none can escape it.
