" Definately, I can't believe he left him in there, though he's only sat outside the shack atm, I've just re-watched the episode (6 times now) and I still can't think of a really good way he can explain the leg, though it looks like it may be a pass-thru wound, it's still bleeding severly. He's going to have a serious limp for a while. Damnit just kill Doakes already!! :P Post reply Do you find this valuable?

The cast turned to the president and he said...YES. Therefore, Dexter can NOT die UNLESS they change the name of the show to, "Doakes" which doesnt seem like that would happen. The only thing I can picture for the leg, and it's dependent on him getting back in through his bathroom window, is that he pretend he hurt himself on something in the apartment. As long as the bullet is out of it, he can use a big piece of a broken full length mirror, a big kitchen knife, or someone in another thread mentioned the treadmill. That's assuming there's no powderburn around the wound. Let's say he can't get back to the apartment. Will the FBI think Doakes kidnapped him? The glass is out of the bathroom window. How would they find them? The previews show Dexter planting kill tools with Doakes' prints on them off a pier. How does he get the prints on them? Although possible spin off, especially if the writer strike continues, anyone can make a story for Doakes. A pissed off man, on the run. I'm sure like two people would watch it. That wouldn't even be such a bad plotline either. The previews are always pretty misleading so maybe Doakes does actually die but I doubt they'd remove such a strong character at this stage of the game. Post reply 2 out of 2 found this valuable. She doesn't have the physical strength or the skills necessary to pull off those killings. Doakes is the only viable patsy. He's got the skills, the experience, the strength and the history with Dexter that Dex can exploit to make it look as if Doakes thought they were getting close to him and decided to frame Dexter. " this has been my running thought for about a month now. I think something is going to happen to Lila. I think she is a pyromaniac that maybe responsible for more deaths than the one she already confessed to Dex. Doakes is a killer too. It's a three man (and woman) race, my money's on Dex. When I get worried think of the real facts. Showtimes maybe most or in the top 3 anyway sucessful series? Not going down after only 2 seasons. no way. and without Dex who would want to watch it. Morgaine	60. RE: SPOILER- DOAKES KILLS DEXTER AT END OF SEASON Nov 27 2007, 7:04 PM EST The more I think about it, the more it seems as if Doakes might shoot Dex but not kill him. On the other hand, there should be no guns in that cabin. Doakes is in the swamp, and Dex doesn't use them. A shoot-out with cops would still work, though, but with Doakes as the target.
